Dear friends and followers, today is Holy Tuesday - the day we ask ourselves: are we truly ready for the Light?
The Parable of the Ten Virgins teaches us that we must always have "oil in our lamps" - a symbol of spiritual watchfulness and purity of consciousness.
In phytotherapy, we see this spiritual symbol as care for the nervous system and clarity of mind.
If on Monday we cleansed the “temple” of toxins, then today is the day to pour "fuel" into our inner lamp.
Our watchfulness depends not only on willpower, but also on the peace within our souls. When we are tense, angry, or frightened, our lamp begins to smoke and fade.
Be wise guardians of your inner world.
Healing is a process of illumination - the more light we allow into our minds, the less room remains for illness.
Spiritual Message
"The oil in our lamp is not merely a liquid - it is our readiness to meet life with calmness rather than fear.
When our spirit is watchful and awake, the body finds the strength to heal itself.
Illness is often only a darkness that slips in where we have allowed our lamp to go out through anger or exhaustion.
Today, as you prepare your herbs, remember this - you are not merely soothing your nerves - you are inviting the Light back into your home.
Be watchful guardians of your inner flame!"
Elixir for the Nervous System
(From the practice of healer and phytotherapist Eng. Elionora Nedyalkova)
When the nervous system is exhausted, our inner flame begins to die down. This blend nourishes the "wick" of our calmness and strengthens the heart.
Ingredients:
Lemon balm leaf (Melissa officinalis) - 2 parts (for joy and peace)
Motherwort, finely chopped (Leonurus cardiaca) - 1 part (to calm “nervousness of the heart”)
Hops cones (Humulus lupulus) - 1 part (for deep sleep)
Hawthorn fruit (Crataegus) - 1 part (nourishment for the heart)
Preparation:
Pour 300 ml of boiling water over 1 tablespoon of the herbal mixture. Let it
steep for 1 hour, so the hawthorn fruit can fully release its strength.
Use:
Drink 1 teacup, 1 hour after meals.
Why today?
This elixir drives away dark thoughts and strengthens the spirit before the
trials of Holy Week.
Soothing Anointing Oil for Peaceful Sleep
(Inspired by the little monastic comforts found in my grandfather’s old
notebooks…)
This herbal oil calms the mind and opens the "higher centers" of the spirit, preparing us for silent prayer and restful sleep.
Ingredients:
Base oil:
30 ml cold-pressed olive oil (or sesame oil)
Essential oils:
Frankincense - 3 drops (for spiritual connection and purification of the mind)
Lavender - 5 drops (for deep inner peace)
Lemon balm - 3 drops (helps calm panic attacks and severe anxiety)
Application:
In the evening, rub this blend into the temples, the back of the neck, and the
soles of the feet.
Precautions
for the elixir:
Avoid during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and in small children. People with
glaucoma should also use lemon balm with caution, as it may slightly increase
intraocular pressure.
Shared by the Healer (Phytotherapist)
"Motherwort is the herb of "protection" for the soul."
It does not merely calm - it builds a shield around the heart.
Combined with hawthorn, it gives the body rhythm and resilience.
I chose lemon balm for this day because it is the "herb of consolation" - it is precisely that "oil" which keeps our lamp from smoking.
Remember that hawthorn requires patience - let it steep well, so it may offer you the strength of the earth."
PHYTODIETETICS – "FOOD FOR LIGHT"
Support for brain health and memory.
Through phytotherapy, we can offer "food for light" - support for the health of the brain and memory.
Ingredients:
5–6 whole walnut kernels,
1 tsp raw honey,
a handful of black blueberries and raspberries.
Action:
Walnuts nourish the brain with vital fats. Forest berries help clear away the
burdens that darken the mind.
Why today?
This is pure energy for our biological lamp.
Forest berries are among the most powerful foods for restoring the central nervous system.
