HOLY WEDNESDAY - The Anointing Oil of Repentance and the Sacred Protection of the Body
“The anointing that brings comfort.”
Dear friends and followers,
Today is Holy Wednesday - the day on which we remember the woman who brought precious anointing oil to Jesus, and through this gesture revealed the deepest repentance, humility, and love.
This is not a day
of outward splendor, but of inward softening.
A day on which the heart grows humble, the soul is washed of its burdens, and
the hands learn once again to touch with mercy.
In phytotherapy,
today we turn our attention to the skin - our quietest, yet most faithful boundary
with the world.
It is our covering, our first protection, our living shield.
When the skin suffers, it often tells us that our inner peace has been
disturbed, that the body is carrying tension which the soul has not yet spoken
aloud.
That is why today
we learn to care for this holy shield not with harshness, but with gentleness.
Not with vanity, but with gratitude.
Not with violence toward the body, but with anointing, comfort, and quiet care.
The Healer’s Spiritual Message
“Today
is a day for forgiving yourself.
Every mark upon our skin is a memory of a battle.
Every inflammation is the body’s cry that something within us has long been
neglected.
Repentance is the
washing away of the old.
Anointing is an act of mercy.
Let us care today for our bodily covering not out of vanity, but with gratitude that this body carries us through life, through pain, through trials, and through hope.
When you anoint your skin, do so with the thought that you are closing old wounds and preparing yourself for a new beginning.”
BLAG MEHLEM (The Gentle Balm)- “The Healer’s Anointing Oil”
A handmade remedy for deep care and restoration
This balm is
soothing to the skin and gentle to the tissues.
It supports recovery, softens, nourishes, and restores to the skin its sense of
calm and elasticity.
Ingredients: Almond oil, grapeseed oil, inner bark from elder shoots (a secret of the old folk healers), white mastic, white frankincense, coconut oil, and beeswax.
Action: Suitable for dry, sensitive, and irritated skin; exceptionally effective for burns, post-surgical scars, eczema, and lichen.
Directions for
use:
Apply a thin layer to well-cleansed skin.
Massage it in slowly, with care and with an inner prayer for calm and
restoration.
This is your gentle anointing for today.
RITUAL POURING WITH HORSETAIL - Strengthening the Body’s Shield
Inspired by the nature-healing practices of the old European schools
Field horsetail is an herb that brings restoration and calm to the body. Pouring an infusion of it over the body strengthens the body’s “shield” and purifies the energetic field.
Preparation:
Soak 100 g of dried horsetail in 1 liter of boiling water. When the water cools
to body temperature, pour it over the entire body, including the head.
Do not rinse
immediately.
Allow the skin to absorb as much of the herb’s strength as it needs.
Why today?
Because this is
the day on which we do not only repent, but also restore ourselves.
Horsetail reminds us that true protection does not come from hardness, but from
a strong inner structure.
Shared by the Healer (Phytotherapy Consultant)
“In my practice, I always emphasize that the Gentle Balm is not merely a cosmetic product, but a true form of bodily care.
The combination of white frankincense and white mastic has a soothing effect and supports the skin in its recovery. The use of elder bark is part of an almost forgotten body of knowledge that the old healers valued for irritated and overburdened skin.
When this is combined with horsetail pouring, the body receives a clear signal of care, gathering, and renewal.
Remember: when the body is sustained with care and attention, it receives the Light more easily and allows illness in less readily.”
IMPORTANT NOTES AND CONTRAINDICATIONS
For the Gentle
Balm:
Contains beeswax and nut oils.
If you have sensitive skin or a tendency toward allergies, carry out a patch
test first on a small area.
For horsetail:
Today’s recommendation is for external use only.
